Hamnet

I loved this imagining of Shakespeare’s family life in Stratford and the death of his only son. This book may have the greatest appeal to English majors, but it also captured the feelings of raw grief so realistically. Loved this book.

I liked listening to this book

Scorpion Mountain
by John Flanagan

Scorpion Mountain continues the adventures of the Heron brotherband during their time as the Araluen duty ship. Hal continues to invent interesting things that aid in their adventures. The characters continue to become more real, each with their own stories and relationships. Ingvar and Lydia both have development happen. Overall, a good book with interesting characters and fun adventures.

Super fun read about friendship, dealing with bodies outside of the healthy “norm”, the validity of online friendships, and a werewolf. Loved it.

I haven’t read this author in a while as I was all caught up on his books but this one kind of had me guessing. I kept thinking just get to the point sometimes. Still an amazing author, I just think my reading taste has changed over the years.
